Frequently Asked Questions

Can these courses be combined?

Yes. RSA, RSG, and Barista can be completed together as our two-day hospitality package, or booked individually.

Are there any prerequisites?

None. There is no minimum age to complete RSA or RSG under Queensland law, so anyone can enrol regardless of age.

Do you have to be 18 to get your RSA or RSG?

No. Under the Liquor Act 1992 there's no minimum age restriction, and under-18s can serve or supply alcohol in hotels, restaurants, and cafes, as long as the venue doesn't hold an adult entertainment permit. Regardless of age, though, anyone serving or supplying alcohol must hold a current RSA certificate.

How long does it take?

RSA and RSG together take one day. Adding Barista to do the full package extends it to two days.

What will I learn?

Responsible service of alcohol and gambling practices, plus hands-on barista skills including preparing and serving espresso coffee.

Is this recognised across the industry?

Yes. These are nationally recognised units of competency, highly regarded by licensed venues, cafes, and hospitality employers across Australia.

What does it cost?

Barista $250 · RSA $60 · RSG $60. Combined bundle (all three): $300.
