This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to work safely at heights.
This course gives learners insight to hazard identification, risk assessment (SWMS) preparation, correct use of PPE and fall-arrest systems and invovles practical exercises to demonstrate understanding.
Suitable for workers who conduct OR supervise tasks while at height.

Working at Heights - Face to Face Training (1 Day)
In-person training that covers all theory and practical components. Ideal for learners who prefer hands-on guidance in a fully supervised learning environment.
This unit will cover underpinning knowledge of all necessary theoretical components as well as practical observations of three (3) different working at heights scenarios.
In-Person Practical Component:
- Located at 2/75 Redland Bay Road, Capalaba
- Real, hands-on training provided by industry experts
- Opportunity for site-specific queries and recommendations
- Simulated and Actual working at height experience
- Small class to ensure learner engagement

- Statement of Attainment (RIIWHS204E) recognised nationally.

Working at Heights - Online Theory Option (Half Day Practical)
Blended learning option that consists of a self-paced online theory component that must be completed prior to attending in-person practical component. This option is suggested for learners with experience in industry.
Online Learning:
- Access to our online learning platform (RIIWHS204E (THEORY))
- On-going support from EDB Training Services
- Estimated duration (3-4 hours), flexible and self-paced
In-Person Practical Component:
- Located at 2/75 Redland Bay Road, Capalaba
- Real, hands-on training provided by industry experts
- Opportunity for site-specific queries and recommendations
- Simulated and Actual working at height experience
- Half-day course (3-4 hours)

COMBINED | Working at Heights + EWP (under 11m)
A combined course that covers all underpinning knowledge of Working at heights and operating an Elevated Work Platform (Under 11m). This course is intensive and hands-on to give learners a full understanding of general safety concepts when working at height and operating elevated work platforms.
Online Learning:
- Access to our online learning platform (RIIWHS204E + RIIHAN301E (THEORY))
- On-going support from EDB Training Services
- Estimated duration (4-6 hours), flexible and self-paced
In-Person Practical Component
- Located at 2/75 Redland Bay Road, Capalaba
- Real, hands-on training provided by industry experts
- Opportunity for site-specific queries and recommendations
- Simulated and Actual working at height experience
- Full day course (approximately 8 hours)
