- One day at our Capalaba centre. Combined with RSA and RSG it becomes our two-day hospitality package.
- What’s assessed
- A practical, hands-on assessment preparing and serving espresso-based drinks, plus the hygienic food-handling practices covered by SITXFSA005.
- What you leave with
- Nationally recognised Statements of Attainment for SITHFAB025 (Prepare and serve espresso coffee) and SITXFSA005 (Use hygienic practices for food safety) - two units, not one.
Part of RSA / RSG / Barista.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any coffee experience?
No. The course assumes you are starting from scratch and trains you on commercial espresso machines, which behave differently from a home machine.
How many units do I get?
Two. SITHFAB025 for preparing and serving espresso coffee, and SITXFSA005 for hygienic food-safety practices, which most cafe employers ask for as well.
Is it cheaper with RSA and RSG?
Yes. Booked together as the two-day hospitality package the three cost $300 rather than $370, saving $70.
