20 May 2024 · Justine Barber · 1 min read
A Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations is a practical, hands-on qualification built around the real tasks of a modern warehouse and distribution centre. Here is what you can expect to cover.
Core skills
- Workplace health and safety and safe manual handling
- Receiving, checking and dispatching goods
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
- Using warehouse and inventory management systems
- Stock control, replenishment and stocktaking
Licensed operations
Depending on the electives chosen, the qualification can include high-risk work licensing such as a forklift (LF) and order-picking forklift (LO) licence - skills that are in constant demand and that you can use straight away.
How it is delivered
Training combines theory with plenty of practical, supervised work so you build genuine competence rather than just passing a test. For trainees, it can be delivered on the job under a training contract.
EDB Training Services delivers the qualification in Brisbane, with funding available for eligible students through Queensland’s subsidised training programs.
