How to Get a White Card in Brisbane

A White Card (Construction Induction Card) certifies that you have completed the national unit CPCWHS1001 and can work safely on a construction site. Here is how to get yours in Brisbane in five steps.

1. Choose a registered training organisation - pick an accredited RTO such as EDB Training Services (RTO 32376).
2. Enrol in a face-to-face course - Queensland requires in-person training for metro areas; there is no online option for most Brisbane students.
3. Attend the training day - arrive early with photo ID and closed-toe shoes, and take part in the practical exercises.
4. Complete the assessment - written and verbal tasks covering hazard identification, WHS responsibilities, PPE and emergency response.
5. Receive your credentials - your Statement of Attainment is issued the same day, with the official White Card posted to you shortly after.

Who needs one?

Tradespeople, apprentices, supervisors, labourers, contractors and even regular site visitors all need a White Card before entering a construction zone in Queensland.
