Can You Fail a Forklift Licence in Queensland?

The licence process

Operating a forklift in Queensland requires a High Risk Work Licence (LF class). Training is delivered by an RTO and covers theory, hands-on practice and a formal assessment with both a written and a practical component.

What you are assessed on

• Theory: workplace health and safety, hazard identification, load stability and correct procedures
• Practical: pre-operational inspection, smooth vehicle control, and safe load handling

• Skipping the pre-operational safety checks

And if you do not pass on the day? You will be given clear feedback, additional coaching, and the chance to be reassessed. Failing is rarely the end of the road - it is just a sign you need a little more practice.
