- Who it’s for
- Licensed forklift operators whose employer requires evidence that their skills are current, and operators returning to the machine after time away.
- Prerequisites
- A current high-risk work licence for forklift (LF). This is a refresher, not a licensing course - if you do not hold an LF licence you need the full forklift course instead.
- Duration
- Approximately half a day, at our Capalaba centre or on your site.
- What’s assessed
- Pre-start inspection, load handling and stability, safe travel and pedestrian awareness, and shutdown procedure.
- What you leave with
- A Verification of Competency record you can give your employer. This is not a licence renewal - your WorkSafe Queensland licence is renewed separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a VOC the same as renewing my licence?
No. A VOC confirms to your employer that your skills are current. Renewing your high-risk work licence is a separate process handled by WorkSafe Queensland.
How often should I do one?
Most workplaces ask for a VOC every 12 months, but the interval is set by your employer's safety system rather than by legislation.
Can you run this at our workplace?
Yes. We deliver VOCs on site across Brisbane and South East Queensland, using your own equipment and conditions.
