- Who it’s for
- Operators who already hold an EWP ticket (RIIHAN301E) and need to renew it. Your ticket is valid for five years from the date of issue, after which a refresher is required to keep it current.
- Prerequisites
- An EWP ticket you are renewing, and three forms of valid identification (for example a driver licence, Medicare card and bank card). A reasonable level of fitness is needed for the practical component.
- Duration
- Theory and hands-on practical in a single session at our Capalaba training centre. Exact length depends on class size - we will confirm when you book.
- What’s assessed
- A written and verbal knowledge assessment covering safety procedures, equipment checks and emergency procedures, then a practical operation assessment on a scissor lift or similar EWP under 11 metres.
- What you leave with
- A Statement of Attainment and a renewed EWP card, valid for a further five years from the date of issue.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know when I need a refresher?
Your EWP ticket is valid for five years from the date of issue. The date is printed on your card, and most workplaces will ask to see a current one before you operate.
What if my ticket has already expired?
If it expired less than 12 months ago you can still do the refresher. Once it has been expired for more than 12 months you need the full EWP course again rather than the refresher.
Does this cover boom lifts over 11 metres?
No. Platforms with a boom length over 11 metres need a separate High Risk Work "WP" licence, which we deliver on site at your workplace.
