A White Card is the entry ticket to every construction site in Queensland, so it is no surprise we are asked the same questions again and again. Here are the ten that come up most, with clear answers.

1. What is a White Card? It is proof you have completed CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry - the nationally recognised construction induction unit.
2. Who needs one? Anyone who enters a construction site to work: labourers, tradespeople, apprentices, supervisors and many site visitors.
3. Can I do it online in Queensland? Generally no - Queensland requires face-to-face delivery, except for people living more than 100 km from their nearest RTO.
4. How long does the course take? One day, usually around five to six hours including the assessment and breaks.
5. How much does it cost? Pricing is competitive and includes your materials and Statement of Attainment - check our White Card page for current rates.
6. What do I need to bring? Photo ID, a Unique Student Identifier (USI), enclosed footwear and enough English to complete the assessment.
