2-Day Weekend Course Delivery:

  • First two Saturdays of every month

We offer a Saturday-to-Saturday course to cater for students that are unable to train during the week. This opens the opportunity to upskill in a current role, or change industries while at work.


We also offer a 3-day course every week on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays.



Saturday Course with EDB

Perfect for beginners or experienced operators, this course allows a full week of study and optional mid-week practical training between course induction and assessment.


This course will provide learners with all essential information to safely operate a forklift truck including;

  • Identify hazards, assess risks and implement control measures
  • Perform routine equipment checks prior to operation
  • Operate the forklift safely
  • Complying with site-specific procedures
  • Determining lift requirements and storage location

Delivery Schedule -

This course is delivered over two consecutive Satudays from 8:00am to 2:00pm each day

Pre-Requisites

EDB Enrolment Requirements:

• Students must be aged 18 years or older.

• Enclosed footwear must be worn

• Adequate Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills (LLN) as outlined within the NAI.

• Students must be able to speak, read and understand basic English. Translation or Interpreter is not permitted.


Physical Requirements:

To ensure the safety of yourself, and other, the HRWL requires a moderate level of physical fitness as outlined below.

• Perform walking, bending and crouching movements when carrying out necessary inspections

• Safely lift and handle loads of approx. 15kg

• Enter and exit forklifts correctly using three points of contact

• Remain seated and operate the forklift controls for extended durations

• Drive and manoevre forklifts with palletised loads, including navigating slops and uneven slopes

• Maintain clear visibility, situational awareness, and focus while operating equipment

• Conduct shut down procedures, post operation checks, and report and defects or maintenance issues.
