Queensland Forklift Licensing Laws
The Queensland government requires all forklift operators to obtain a High Risk Work Licence (LF class) because forklift operation is considered high-risk work. The Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 governs this licence, which is issued by Workplace Health and Safety Queensland (WHSQ) to qualified candidates.
To obtain your forklift license, you must complete your forklifting classes with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) like EDB Training Services and pass both theoretical and practical assessments. Students must submit their AS1 form, Statement of Attainment, ID, and payment to WHSQ for licence processing. Our team supports students at every stage of the training journey — from initial enrolment to final licence application submission.
Forklifting Classes Lead to Career Opportunities
Completing forklifting classes provides access to multiple career paths. Your LF licence allows you to work in a variety of settings, including warehouses, distribution centres, freight and logistics companies, construction sites, trade supply yards, manufacturing facilities, and retail logistics operations.
The licence certifies that you have received proper training and safety instruction. Many of our students have used their forklift certification to secure full-time jobs, land consistent labour contracts, or improve their trade skill set. A forklift licence is often the first step toward industries that offer ongoing career growth.
