In conjunction with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), EDB can assist all sizes of business to gain access to any Commonwealth funding which may be available through the New Apprenticeship Scheme. This funding may be applicable and can be used to cover the real cost of training. We have established relationships with a number of New Apprenticeship Centres (NAC’s) which will allow you to simplify the administration process.

As of January 1, 2006, the Commonwealth provides incentives to the employer for employees who may be eligible. The possible incentives are as follows:

	Certificate II - Total $1,250		Certificate III / IV - Total $4,000
	Commencement = $1,250		Commencement = $1,500
			Completion = $2,500

Additional Commonwealth incentives may be available for employees who fall into specific categories and each State determines which qualifications these apply to. A New Apprenticeship Centre (NAC) will be able to provide more advice.
